Daniel Generous, trading as "Tipsy Otis and the Barking Brains", is the data controller for personal information collected through thebarkingbrains.com. This means we decide why and how it is used.

What we collect and why

• Order details (order number, what you bought, and the email you bought with): to deliver your downloads and help with problems or refunds. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• Messages you send us (your email address and what you write): to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions.
• Technical data (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited): to keep the site running, secure and free from fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We don't have user accounts and we don't sell your information. Card and payment details are collected by Paddle, not by us.

Who we share it with

• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale, payments, tax and invoicing for every order.
• Service providers that host and run this website.
• Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as needed for downloads, refunds and tax records (usually up to 7 years), and messages for as long as needed to deal with them. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Email tipsyotis@tipsyotis.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (https) connections and limited access.

Cookies

This site only uses essential storage needed for it to work, such as remembering your order on the thank-you page. We don't use advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own essential cookies to process payments securely.
